How Affiliate Links Work on TintoHot

What happens when you click "Visit site", what we earn and the rules that keep commissions away from our scores.

TintoHot is free to read. We pay for testing and writing partly through affiliate links, and we think you should know exactly how that works.

What happens when you click

Buttons such as "Visit site" go through a short TintoHot redirect before reaching the platform. The redirect tells the platform that the visit came from us, so if you later buy tokens or a membership we may earn a commission. You never pay more because you came through our link.

What we record

We record that a click happened, on which page and button, the device category (desktop, mobile or tablet) and, when our hosting provider supplies it, the country. We do not store your IP address or full browser details, and we do not build profiles of readers.

The rules we follow

Editorial scores are set before and independently of any commercial agreement. Editors cannot see affiliate revenue. Rankings are ordered by score, and if we ever sell a sponsored placement it will be clearly labelled as such.

Platforms without affiliate programmes

We review platforms whether or not they have an affiliate programme. Where there is no programme, the button simply links to the platform without tracking.

If you have questions about a specific link, contact us and we will explain it.
