Editorial policy

Independence

Editors set scores before any commercial conversation and cannot see affiliate revenue. Commercial partners never review or approve our copy.

Bylines and review

Every review names who wrote it and, where applicable, who checked it. Some content is signed by a team rather than an individual; we say so on the author page.

Updates

Pages show a "last updated" date. We update reviews when pricing, features or policies change in a way that affects readers.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction on the page.

Translations

Spanish and Portuguese pages may start as machine-assisted translations. Until an editor has reviewed a translation, the page carries a visible notice and links to the English original.

Sponsored content

We do not currently publish sponsored reviews. If we ever sell a placement, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
